Dr. Shandip Kumar Sinha is a Paediatric surgeon and Paediatric urologist who has special interest in minimally invasive pediatric surgery, paediatric endourology and reconstructive pediatric urology, and practices at Medanta-The Medicity, Gurugram as Director (Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology). His qualifications include MBBS, MS and MCh (Pediatric Surgery) and he was Professor(Pediatric Surgery) at Maulana Azad medical college and associated LNJP and GB Pant hospitals and then Practised at Madhukar Rainbow children hospital, Delhi before joining this tertiary care institute.
EXPERTISE
He is an expert in paediatric minimally invasive and endoscopy surgery. He is well versed and experienced in performing laparoscopic surgery for diseases like Hirschsprung disease, Choledochal cyst, undescended testes, hernia, rectal prolapse, appendix and Gall stone in children. He has also performed thoracoscopic surgery for congenital diaphragmatic hernias, foregut duplications, tracheoesophageal fistula hydatid cyst lung and many other thoracic diseases in children.

He also has large experience in managing complex cases needing surgeries like gastric pull up, lung resections, meningomyelocele and VP shunt, bronchoscopy for foreign bodies, tracheal repairs, liver resections, oncology etc.

His other areas of interest include reconstructive and endoscopic pediatric urology. He has best surgical skills for common surgical conditions like Hypospadias and epispadias. He is highly skilled in pediatric endourology and has been regularly performing cystoscopy and ureteroscopy for posterior urethral valve, ureterocele and other complicated urological conditions. He is also well versed in laparoscopic pyeloplasty for PUJ obstruction in infant and small children.
